Where It All Began
C Dawson & Sons was established in Brayton in 1960 by our Grandfather Clifford Dawson and traded as a high class butcher with its own abattoir.
Joining the business in the late 60’s and early 70’s were William and Charles Dawson, both sons of Clifford.
Following the redevelopment of Manor Farm, the business relocated to its current premises in 1982 under the management of William and Charles Dawson.
Down The Generations
Following the retirement of Grandfather Clifford Dawson.
Second generation, William and Charles Dawson built the business into its current form. With an expansion of the high class butchers to include a bakery for bread and pies, which includes the famous Dawson Pork Pies.
A Family Business At The Heart
With the retirement of William and Charles Dawson, the business was taken over by the third generation of Dawson’s Phillip and John to maintain its reputation for high quality produce to this day.
